5 min readMay 13, 2026By Match Marker

Amsterdam is the heart of Dutch football culture. With the Netherlands competing at the World Cup, Leidseplein and Rembrandtplein will be packed with Oranje supporters from June to July.

No official FIFA Fan Festival has been announced for Amsterdam, but the city's bar culture ensures there's no shortage of places to watch.

Entertainment Squares

Leidseplein is Amsterdam's main nightlife plaza. During major tournaments, multiple bars set up outdoor screens. The entire square becomes an open-air fan zone for Netherlands matches.

Rembrandtplein is another major entertainment square with dozens of terrasses. Similar atmosphere to Leidseplein with a slightly more local crowd.

Sports Bars

Rokin 85 Gastropub (Rokin 85) near Dam Square positions itself as Amsterdam's World Cup hub. Good food, beer, and a central location.

Belushi's Amsterdam (Warmoesstraat 129) is part of the international sports bar chain. Dedicated World Cup programming with an energetic, international crowd.

Market 33 near Amsterdam Zuid station is a casual, family-friendly food court with screens for sports viewing.
