About Stade Mayol
Stade Mayol is the fortress of RC Toulon, perched on the Mediterranean coast in the heart of the city. With a capacity of 18,500, it is compact, loud, and fiercely partisan. The ground is famous for its pilou-pilou war chant, performed by the entire crowd before kick-off — a spine-tingling ritual unique in world rugby. Toulon's passionate fanbase, the Champions Cup titles of 2013, 2014, and 2015, and the sun-drenched Provençal setting make Mayol one of the most atmospheric rugby grounds anywhere. The Virage Nord stand towers over the pitch, creating a wall of noise that has broken countless visiting teams. A matchday in Toulon means rosé on the harbour beforehand, the roar of 18,000 inside, and seafood on the Mourillon beach afterwards.
