About GGL Stadium
The GGL Stadium (formerly Altrad Stadium) is home to Montpellier Hérault Rugby, champions of France in 2022. Located in the northern suburbs of Montpellier near the Stade de la Mosson, the ground was purpose-built for rugby and seats 15,500. The atmosphere is intense and distinctly southern French — loud, animated, and fuelled by the Mediterranean sun. Owner Mohed Altrad transformed the club from also-rans into genuine title contenders, and the stadium has been regularly expanded to keep pace with growing support. The Occitanie derby against Toulouse and Castres fixtures are particularly ferocious. Montpellier itself is a vibrant university city with outstanding food and wine, and the coast is a 20-minute drive away.
